JEOL USA Inc. offers a mobile scanning electron microscope that can be moved to various locations as needed. The CarryScope is suitable for use in a mobile lab for conducting imaging and analysis of trace evidence at a crime scene. In research or manufacturing, it can be carried between the lab, the conference room or office for product inspection or for analysis of research samples. It provides 8× to 300,000× magnification imaging and up to 5-nm resolution and produces a sharp image that allows the user to conduct and annotate high-precision measurements on submicron structures. An optional eucentric motorized specimen stage holds a specimen up to 150 mm in diameter. A stage navigation system and SmileShot software enhance the system.
