NoIR LaserShields has introduced laser protection eyewear in the form of its CE-certified No. 34 frame with a detachable prescription insert. The lightweight and soft-touch frame provides a full-profile fit, bendable temples and a comfortable nosepiece. The company offers more than 75 filters, with more than 40 of them CE-certified, and a frame to fit any face, whether worn over prescription glasses or not. Using narrowband peak absorbers rather than broadband generalized dyes, the filters absorb specific laser lines at high optical densities without sacrificing visibility. Twelve filters with visible light transmittance (VLT) of >50% are available, as are 12 others with VLT of >35%.
