Rofin Laser Micro has expanded its family of manual welding lasers with the introduction of the Integral, a pulsed Nd:YAG 1064-nm device suitable for high-precision processing of medium- to large-size workpieces, either manually or joystick- or CNC-controlled. Its large working chamber provides space for objects with an edge length of up to 500 mm. The X-Y-Z axes quickly and precisely move workpieces with a maximum weight of 500 kg in all three dimensions. The optical system can be swiveled around two axes, enabling processing of perpendicular surfaces, undercuts or deep grooves without turning or tilting the workpiece. A multifunction joystick and a large color touch screen enable easy and intuitive parameter setting. Optionally, the Integral can be made as an open-system laser Class 4 workstation that can hold extremely large workpieces. Nominal power is 200 W, pulse peak power is 12 kW, pulse energy is 100 J, and pulse duration is from 0.5 to 20 ms.
