The OL 490 Agile Light Source from Optronic Laboratories Inc. provides high-speed programmable spectral illumination and produces high-resolution spectra via a flexible liquid lightguide for 380- to 780-nm applications in microscopy, chemometrics, hazardous materials, product testing, instrument calibration, forensics, and hyperspectral and bioscience imaging. A high-speed USB interface and easy-to-use software controls enable synthesis of complex optical filter systems and spectral rates of up to 10 kHz. Output intensity is 229 mW, spectral resolution is 6.1 nm, spectral accuracy is 1 nm, and maximum spectral scan rate is 10,000/s. Minimum exposure time is 100 μs, and output spot size is 3 mm. Features include external triggering and a modular lamp port.
