CHEMICAL IMAGING
ChemImage Corp. has unveiled its WHIP (wide-field hyperspectral imaging platform) technology, which powers the company’s Falcon II and Condor chemical imaging systems. It enables users to go beyond static imaging and to acquire Raman movies. They can monitor dynamic processes, analyze materials in motion, witness structure/activity relationships and document reactions in real time, seeing changes in the material composition and distribution as they happen. The scalable platform combines digital imaging with various spectroscopic techniques and up to five imaging modalities, enabling scientists to obtain high-resolution chemical and spatial information. Chemical movies can be generated via Raman, fluorescence, near-IR and visible imaging techniques, depending upon the material.
