PHOTODIODE

The SXUV 100 ultraviolet/extreme-UV photodiode has been unveiled by
International Radiation Detectors (IRD) Inc. It features a 100 mm
2 total active area, responsivity stability for billions of 193- and 157-nm pulses, responsivity nonuniformity at <±2% over the detector surface and temperature dependence of UV responsivity <0.04%/°C. It exhibits no responsivity loss after exposure to 2.94 MJ/cm
2 of 244-nm radiation. The photon detector has a metal silicide front window designed for long operational lifetime in high particle flux environments, such as third- and fourth-generation synchrotrons and excimer lasers. It has more than eight orders of magnitude dynamic range and less than 2% nonuniformity across the surface.
