The Kappa DX 200 motion picture camera platform from Kappa opto-electronics GmbH provides full high definition in 16:9 with 1920 × 1080 pixels (progressive scan), 3-D view at a long distance by stereo assembly and optical fiber connection for virtually unlimited cable lengths. Dual-channel operation provides 30 fps with automatic channel equalization. Continuous operation is assured by a black-and-white channel (in addition to the color image), with maximum sensitivity in darkness. The device has passed stress testing procedures involving pressure, temperature, vibration, shock and overvoltage, in accordance with industry and aviation requirements. Application areas include machine vision, medical science and traffic surveillance.
