MicroCare Corp. has introduced the Triton three-way dispensing system, a new packaging option for its FiberCare line of fiber optic cleaning solvents. Users now can dispense the cleaning solvent in three ways from the same can. They can use the hands-free mode to wet a lint-free wipe with solvent for cleaning connector end faces, bare fiber or optical components; the dip mode to dampen a cleaning swab for cleaning connector end faces inside alignment sleeves or fusion splicer V-grooves; and the spray mode to squirt solvent to flush contaminated areas such as alignment sleeves or adapter caps. They also can spray it on any contaminated surface for cleaning. Changing from one mode to another can be accomplished instantly.
