LASER SCANNER
Kreon Technologies has introduced its Aquilon 3-D laser scanner, which delivers up to 1 million points per second captured at 5-μm accuracy, rendering it suitable for inspection and reverse engineering applications in the mold-making and tooling industry. The user-controlled scanning speed can be adjusted according to data density requirements. Using dual cameras and laser triangulation, the device digitizes complex surfaces by sweeping over the object as does a paintbrush. It offers an integrated contact probe and Renishaw PH 10 interface for integration on 3-D coordinate measuring machines. Compatible with portable articulated arms, it has a laser line length of 50 mm, a measuring field of 75 mm and standoff distance of 60 mm.
