The miniature Green-Wave fiber optic spectrometers manufactured by StellarNet Inc. are available in 15 models to cover the UV/VIS/NIR wavelength ranges from 190 to 1150 nm. Detector options include 2k- and 3k-element CCD or PDA arrays with no defects or moving parts. The spectrometers connect to a PC’s USB port or to an optional battery port. They have a rugged design that accommodates shock and temperature changes and, measuring 1 × 3 × 5 in. and weighing 14 oz, are portable. They are supplied with SpectraWiz software that includes customizable programs for LabView and for direct operation from Microsoft Excel via Visual Basic Automation. Applications include spectroradiometry, CIELAB colorimetry, chemical composition analysis and UVA/B/C measurement.
