The Proc_CamSim announced by GiDel Ltd. is a camera/machine simulator that enables machine vision and other imaging systems developers to perform final development and debug in the laboratory rather than in the real systems. It generates video/images and test patterns from the user database or from internally generated fixed test patterns to a frame grabber (that supports base, medium and full Camera Link configurations) for developing and testing, without the need for a real camera. It sends up to 64 bits of data at 7 to 85 MHz. It comprises a field-programmable gate array-based PCI board and a host application with a GUI interface for control and configuration.
