FOURIER OPTICS KIT

The Fourier Optics Experimenter kit offered by
Cambridge Correlators Ltd. includes a single-stage optical Fourier transform system that has a 1280 × 720-pixel liquid crystal spatial light modulator, a 200-Hz VGA CMOS camera and a single-mode pigtail fiber laser diode. The stand-alone plug-and-play kit has an integrated PC system and a fully accessible optical stage to provide the user with hands-on experience with Fourier optics. A Matlab interface is included. It can be used in conjunction with teaching courses to demonstrate fundamental principles of Fourier and diffractive optics, including far-field diffraction theory, computer-generated holograms, Fourier transform properties, Huygen’s wave principle, Young’s slits, sinc functions, circular apertures and Bessell functions, Rayleigh’s criterion and shift invariance.
