Santec Corp. has developed an optical tunable filter technology that enables users to create an arbitrary optical spectrum, allowing the design of complex optical filters for next-generation optical communications networks. It offers a C-band or L-band wavelength range of 40 nm, tuning functions and arbitrary optical filter designs, and a sharp filter edge. The technology has applications in test and measurement, in bandwidth on demand, and as an optical equalizer for high-speed signals.
