Newport Corp. has unveiled the all-stainless-steel PS-Q, a pedestal post cube that allows researchers to mount the company’s PS series pedestal and extension posts at a 90° angle to create ultrastable multidimensional structures. Cubes can be stacked and aligned onto posts via a PS-Q-A thread adapter that fits into either of the two counterbores on the cube and allows the cube to be rotated to the same orientation as any of those below it. It also provides a threaded hole on top of the cube for further stacking of posts or additional cubes. The pedestal cubes can be infinitely stacked while maintaining a common alignment.
