NEAR-IR CAMERAS
fjw.jpg The Find-R-Scope models 85700 and 85706 near-IR cameras have been announced by FJW Optical Systems Inc. Sensitive from 400 to 1800 and 2200 nm, respectively, they use a 2.54-cm super infrared vidicon and sophisticated electronics to provide high resolution, low geometric distortion and low noise. They output video in either NTSC or PAL format. Automatic gain control eliminates the need for manual adjustments when light intensity varies. Features include antivignetting, gamma correction with soft peak white clipping, automatic beam current regulation, and horizontal and vertical sweep failure protection circuits. The cameras have a standard C-mount and are supplied with a 25-mm f/1.4 lens, with wide-angle and telephoto types available as options. The signal-to-noise ratio is 68 dB.
