Available from Stil SA and developed in collaboration with the Restoration Research Center of French Museums, the Ruby noncontact spectrocolorimeter is a stand-alone instrument for VIS and NIR measurements in the 400- to 800-nm-wavelength range. It consists of an optical head and a controller linked by a fiber optic cable. The portable online color monitoring system incorporates a light source and offers a measuring rate of up to 2000 spectra per second. It is suitable for industrial applications, including quality control. For laboratory use, it features adjustable spot size as well as monitoring software, which offers numerous normalization standards.
