The BrightLine laser dichroics from
Semrock Inc. are suitable for laser-based fluorescence microscopy. The 45° beamsplitters are optimized for lasers typically used in fluorescence imaging, including the all-solid-state types. They offer quality reflection at the laser wavelengths, regardless of polarization, combined with high transmission and very low ripple over wide passbands — out to 900 or 1200 nm. The transition from reflection to transmission is steep (<2.5% of the longest laser wavelength) to capture weak signals close to the laser line. Designed for use in laser scanning, spinning disk confocal and total internal reflection fluorescence microscopes, the devices are compatible with the EdgeBasic long-wave pass filters.
