Tessera Technologies Inc. of San Jose, Calif., a provider of miniaturization technologies for the electronics industry, has agreed to acquire FotoNation of Burlingame, Calif., a provider of embedded imaging solutions for digital still-camera and mobile phone applications. The purchase price is $29 million, with up to $10 million of additional consideration possible. The acquired company’s portfolio will allow Tessera to expand its line of still-camera technology for mobile phones.
