Lumera Corp. of Bothell, Wash., has received a purchase order from Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, Md., for its high electro-optic activity materials. The term of the existing agreement between the companies has been extended through Dec. 31, 2009. During that time, Lockheed Martin will advise Lumera of its intentions regarding a commercial license for the polymer materials. The Washington-based business designs electro-optic components based on proprietary polymer compounds for the telecommunications and computing industries.
