Indium to Open Korean Facility
Indium Corp. of Clinton, N.Y., a supplier of materials for the electronics assembly and solar photovoltaic markets, plans to open a facility in Cheongju City, South Korea. The plant, scheduled to begin processing in May, will reclaim indium from indium-tin oxide, indium-zinc oxide and other sputtering materials used to coat substrates for the flat panel display and solar cell industries. It also will recover indium from by-products generated during manufacturing processes.
