Basler AG has expanded its scout series with the addition of four camera models based on the Sony high-sensitivity ICX285 CCD sensor. Providing a 30-fps image capture rate, 12-bit image data transfer and high image quality, they are suitable for use in factory automation and in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. They are supplied with either a Gigabit Ethernet or a FireWire-b interface and are available in monochrome or color. Employing the newest clock driver devices, the cameras deliver reliable and artifact-free images. They are packaged in a 29 × 44 × 73.7-mm housing and are supplied with a driver and viewer tool. The proprietary pylon driver software development kit facilitates integration via comprehensive documentation and code samples that canbe cut and pasted into customer applications.
