Infrared Cameras Inc. has released an infrared imager designed for rugged applications such as mechanical surveys and electrical and building inspections. The ToughCam has a thermal sensitivity of 0.06 °C at 30 °C and a spectral range of 8 to 14 μm. The device features a 360° articulating 3-in. LCD display, automatic hot-spot trackers and up to 40 s of voice recording per image. It can store up to 1000 images and has a 635-nm laser pointer.
