The NIR-MX800 series from Photline Technologies is a family of LiNbO₃ intensity modulators designed for operation in the 800-nm-wavelength region. The company says that the instruments offer the same benefits as their 1550-nm counterparts: high speed, compactness, low drive voltage and reliability. The modulators have an operating wavelength of 780 to 850 nm and an optical return loss that ranges from –45 to –50 dB. The modulators are supplied in a 100 × 15 × 9.5-mm³ package size.
