Morgan Technical Ceramics has launched a line of ceramic reflectors. Designed for use with solid-state lasers, flashlamps and laser diodes, the reflectors bring high reflectivity and efficiency to these devices. They are made of Sintox AL Alumina, a 99.7% pure porous material that shows reflectance of >96% in the range from 500 to 2000 nm. The material behaves as a bulk reflector of the source radiation by reflecting and refracting light back into the laser’s pumping cavity.
