The EliiXA family of industrial inspection cameras has been launched by e2v technologies plc. The multilinear cameras have row spacing of two pixels and a line rate of up to 18 kHz. With one 4096-pixel line per color, the device is available in trilinear (RGB) or quadrilinear (RGB plus either monochrome or near-infrared) versions. The trilinear version has a speed of 18,000 lines per second and a row spacing of 10 μm. All three formats will be available in full-pixel rate (320 MHz) and in half-pixel rate (160 MHz). The cameras are suitable for web inspection, document and film scanning, and food, pharma-ceutical and medical applications.
