DIODE LASER

The Lasiris ColdRay introduced by StockerYale Inc. is a thermoelectrically cooled diode laser for use in spectroscopy, fluorescence, confocal microscopy, biodetection, particle scattering and sizing, pointing and alignment, machine vision and industrial inspection applications. The company says that the temperature-stabilized device delivers high output power and pointing stability and has a long lifetime. It can project either a violet or a red beam and, for applications that require uniform flattop illumination, it can be integrated easily with the company’s Flat-Top2 generator, a beam-shaping module that converts a Gaussian beam to a flattop square or rectangular profile.
