Spire Corp. of Bedford, Mass., a provider of turnkey solar factories and capital equipment, has received a contract from Jiangxi Gemei Sci-Tech Ltd. of Fuzhou, China, to build a combined solar module and solar cell facility in China. The facility will produce high-efficiency multicrystalline cells and will consist of a 25-MW module facility and an adjacent 25-MW solar cell factory.
