The Matrox 4Sight X has been introduced by Matrox Imaging. The industrial imaging platform is built upon an embedded Intel 64-bit multicore architecture and equipped with either a Core 2Duo or a Celeron processor, as well as an Intel GMA ×3100 2-/3-D graphics engine to offload image processing. For image acquisition, the system features dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports for GigE Vision and three IEEE-1394a/b ports for industrial instrumentation digital cameras. Optional frame grabbers for ×4 PCIe/32-bit PCI can acquire video from analog, digital RS-422/LVDS and Camera Link sources. Microsoft Windows XP Embedded is preloaded on the system, and applications are programmed with the Matrox Imaging Library.
