Laird Technologies Inc. has announced an environmentally friendly metal-core printed circuit board laminate to keep bright and ultrabright LED light engines burning uniformly as well as brighter and longer. The RoHS-compliant T-lam SS LLD has a copper circuit layer and an aluminum or copper base plate bonded with a proprietary T-lam LLD dielectric. Standard constructions are made with 1- and 2-oz copper and with 1- and 1.6-mm-thick aluminum. LED applications include highway- and streetlights, railroad crossing signal lights, large-format LCD televisions and general lighting.
