The ClearSpectrum-TDCX wavelength-tunable dispersion compensator from TeraXion Inc. is channel-plan independent and features a large dispersion tuning range and positive and negative dispersion tuning. It provides accurate dynamic control over chromatic dispersion for any channel in high-speed communications networks. It can be deployed in 40-Gb/s systems with a 50-GHz channel spacing, or in long-haul 10-Gb/s terminals, using a 25-GHz grid. Other applications include fine dispersion trimming at dense wavelength division multiplexing terminals, dispersion emulation for test and measurement, and submarine networks, where wavelength flexibility and reliability are important.
