JAI Inc. has introduced 5-megapixel progressive-scan cameras with a GigE Vision digital interface. Based on the proprietary C3 core camera concept, the BM-500GE monochrome and BB-500GE raw Bayer color models are built around a Sony CCD sensor and feature a sequence trigger mode that allows the user to predefine on-the-fly changes to gain, shutter and/or region-of-interest settings for a repeating sequence of up to 10 consecutive triggers. The cameras operate at 15 fps with full resolution.
