Edmund Optics (EO) will unveil its line of Tech Spec optics and photonics products, featuring new Tech Spec mechanics, ChamelEOs illumination and harsh-environment optics (HEO).

The new LED-based Chameleos illumination delivery system promises to replace the current use of quartz halogen in a variety of environments, from machine vision to security to biomedical equipment, the company said.  Chameleos effectively harnesses LED brightness, delivering a powerful RGB source that can be independently controlled. The product will be available April 1 and will retail for $1995.

EO will also showcase its latest advances in HEOs for visible and near-infrared infinite conjugate imaging applications that require sealed optical components for use in wash-down or similarly wet surroundings, such as in automotive and industrial environments.
