The PathFindIR is a compact thermal imager designed for use in any car, truck or unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). Hermetically sealed to protect against harsh environmental conditions, the PathFindIR is an autonomous, stand-alone camera that is easy to install on almost any platform. It features a 320 x 240 uncooled, long-wave imager with high thermal sensitivity and a 36-degree field of view for enhanced situational awareness, Flir said.

Small and lightweight, the PathFindIR fits easily into manned or unmanned vehicles regardless of potential space, weight or power limitations. The camera runs hands-free and is easy to integrate, with a simple “power in, video out” interface. It provides a standard video signal allowing display on low-cost multifunction monitors.

Flir's proprietary automatic image optimization algorithms provide picture clarity and detail normally found on more expensive, complex cameras.
