Aragón Photonics Labs' BOSA-C compact version of its high-resolution BOSA-C optical spectrum analyzer has a built-in probe tunable laser source with 0.08 pm resolution and an extended dynamic range up to 80 dB for measuring any portion of the C band, with real-time measurment capability and a guaranteed wavelength accuracy of ±2 pm at 1550 nm.
The new model also has a touch-sensitive screen and remote-control features such as GPIB (general purpose Internet bus) and Ethernet interfaces. BOSA optical spectrum analyzers reveals many interesting features of the optical spectrum of active devices and signals like semiconductor lasers, modulators, filters, pulsed lasers or radio frequency signals. The high detail of the BOSA optical spectra allows you to get information about the main parameters of lasers like chirp parameters, relaxation oscillations and RIN values. The products count with advanced functions to analyze the optical spectrum, particularly with the built-in Macro Editor tool, which allows users to program their own experiments. An external application, BOSA Trace Viewer allows users to view, analyze and compare BOSA spectra.
