Job Description/Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing technical marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications. Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of the company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
The responsibilities' will include, but not limited to:
- Heavy applications /engineering focus.
- Support in meeting targeted revenue goals.
- Support Key Accounts and Product Lines.
- Generating New Product / Applications and Customers for continued growth and profitability.
- Support of sales training.
- Setup / Support / and manning of various industry trade shows.
- Involved in the strategic planning of New Products and company direction.
- Travel (10%) both Domestic and Foreign.
- Effectively communicate customer requirements with our engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Interface with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Management) to resolve product issues.
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation skills).
- Proven ability to interact with customers in a way that gains their confidence and respect.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work based on strategic direction.
- Hard working, self-motivated, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Qualifications are required as follows:
- Engineering Degree, minimum of BS in either Electrical or Mechanical.
- Experience with Advanced Optoelectronics Products
- Technical knowledge a must with Visible and Near-Infrared lasers.
- Technical sales experience in the telecommunication, aerospace, medical and defense industries.
- Solid computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)
