Corporate Profile:
We are an FDA-registered manufacturer providing custom, precision optical components for medical/surgical imaging applications (endoscopes, arthroscopes, laprascopes) and analytical instrumentation. We produce high reliability optical subassemblies including glass-to-metal seals and hermetically sealed cells. Products include miniature optics (prisms, lenses, rod lenses), cylindrical and ball lenses, fused silica and sapphire optics, and high-temperature optical filters. Optical components and thin film coatings range from conventional spherical optics to specialty components including sub-millimeter configurations. Technical Sales Engineer
covering Domestic and International sales.
In this key role, the Technical Sales Engineer provides the necessary day to day sales and technical support that is required to meet the sales objectives of the Company. This position reports to the Director, Operations.
Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:
Identifying, developing and monitoring sales in specific market segments and being responsible for all trade shows.
Making regular customer calls solo or in tandem with Engineering personnel to existing and new Market Segment accounts as well as potential customers for our products.
Independently identifying and developing new customers.
Providing marketing, advertising and technical support for our products.
Preparing reports and forecasts as requested on a regular and prompt basis.
Adhering to company policies and procedures during day-to-day business activities.
Being a High-end Ambassador for the Company: Always conducting oneself in a manner that would graciously reflect well upon the Company’s image.
Monitoring Competitor Activities
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
5 to 7 years (minimum) of sales engineering experience with medical imaging devices or photonics (thin film coatings/precision optics related technical products
In-depth knowledge of precision optics, thin film coating, or endoscopy sales preferred
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Professional presentation in manner, dress and speech
Very good computer skills including the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint; and familiarity with MRP/Lean Manufacturing
