San Diego - In its 35th annual session, OFC offers attendees the opportunity to meet with fiber optic professionals from all corners of the earth to greet, teach, learn, make connections and move business forward.

Held this year at the San Diego Convention Center, the organizer, the Optical Society of America, anticipates attendance to hit the 9,500 mark.

The technical conference runs from March 21-25, while the technical exhibit runs from the 23rd to the 25th. More than 500 companies will be exhibiting the latest in technology at OFC/NFOEC. The plenary session will present an array of industry notables who will provide their insight on the future of fiber communications.

This year's conference is being dedicated to Dr. Charles Kao, winner of the 2009 Nobel Prize for Physics.
