 CVI Melles Griot is offering coated optic turnaround times of two weeks or better. Orders received in our Albuquerque facility can be shipped within 2 weeks. These rapid turnaround times apply to our high laser damage threshold, high-reflection and antireflection coatings from 193 to 2300 nm.

OPAL-1000 1 Megapixel Camera

 The OPAL-1000 camera has a 1/2" CCD area array sensor with 1024 x 1024, 5.5-µm square pixels which can deliver 120 full frame images per second. Other important performance parameters include global shutter, channel matching to below noise level, automatic black and shading, dynamic range of 63 dB and defect pixel correction.

» History San Jose
The 14-acre complex of historic buildings inside Kelley Park is a time machine of San Jose during the clapboard and picket fence era. The park includes the Trolley Barn (with historic trolleys and streetcars under restoration), a turn-of-the-century ice cream parlor, a print shop, an early gas station, the circa 1888 Ng Shing Gung (a Chinese-American community center), and the Portuguese Historical and Hellenic Heritage museums.
» A Natural Side Trip
If you have time, visit part of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, a greenbelt system comprised of 55,000 acres of land in 25 open space preserves. Entrance to the district is free and open every day year-round. The preserves closest to San Jose are El Sereno, a beautiful ridge south of Saratoga that is named for the 2249-ft Mt. El Sereno; and Sierra Azul, the district's largest preserve with 17,000 acres of rugged and steep terrain, ideal for more hardy explorers. Both areas offer glimpses of wildlife.
» Center of Mexican Culture
The Mexican Heritage Plaza, located on 1700 Alum Rock Ave. in San Jose, is one of California's largest cultural centers. The 55,000-sq-ft center includes a 500-seat state-of-the-art theater, thematic gardens, and La Galeria, a 4000-sq-ft exhibition space with two art galleries celebrating the Latino legacy. The theater is a major South Bay performance and from Jan. 24 to Feb. 10 will present "School of the Americas," by José Rivera, the Oscar-nominated creator of The Motorcycle Diaries, the account of the final days of Che Guevara.
