The North American-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted a $1.15 billion three-month average of worldwide bookings in July 2002 and a book-to-bill ratio of 1.16, according to the July 2002 Express Report published recently by
Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International. The bookings figure is two percent below the revised June 2002 level of $1.17 billion yet 50 percent above the $769 million in orders posted in July 2001.
