Companies Sign VCSEL Distribution Agreement
Richardson Electronics Ltd., a provider of systems and components for RF, wireless and fiber optic communications, has signed an agreement with Honeywell's vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) product division to distribute its line in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The services, processes, local inventory and technical support of the La Fox, Ill.-based company are expected to deliver the benefits of the lasers to an expanded base of customers and applications.
The products of Honeywell Inc., which is headquartered in Richardson, Texas, have applications in storage devices, bar-code scanners, optical encoders and memory, in measurement and control in industry, and in monitoring and therapy in the medical field.
