SensL Completes Funding Round
CORK, Ireland, Nov. 22 -- Photon-counting sensor and module developer SensL Technologies announced it has raised 1 million euros (about $1.3 million) in an investment round led by Irish venture capital firm Delta Partners.
SensL is a spinout from the National Microelectronics Research Centre at University College Cork, Ireland. Its products include silicon-based photon counting sensors, modules and arrays for measurement applications in ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared wavelengths. Applications include microarray scanning, confocal microscopes, quantum cryptography, low-light imaging, medical imaging and diagnostic equipment. Joseph O'Keeffe, CEO of SensL, said the company is also working on new biomedical diagnostic applications.
