OPTICAL FILTERS
Omega Optical has released its 2007 catalog “Precision Optical Filters for Fluorescence Microscopy,” which includes 15 new filter sets for fluorescent proteins and 10 new sets for Förster resonance energy transfer applications. The publication details an extensive selection of dye-specific sets for single- and multilabel microscopy applications, including Pinkel, Sedat, quantum dots, ratio imaging, multiplex fluorescence in site hybridization, and confocal and multiphoton microscopy. It provides a fluorophore reference table, light source and spectral data, an explanation of filter nomenclature, guidelines for choosing the optimal filter set for an application, and a list of components organized by wavelength.
