Austriamicrosystems files lawsuit against Melexis
Global analog integrated circuit designer-manufacturer austriamicrosystems AG of Unterpremstätten, Austria, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit for its magnetic encoder products against Melexis NV/SA of Ypres, Belgium, and its German subsidiary Melexis GmbH in District Court in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Austrian company asserts that the sale and distribution of products from the Melexis family of magnetic encoders in Germany infringes on its European patent, and it seeks unspecified damages and a court-ordered injunction against future infringement.
