Flexible Electronics Collaboration
!%Coherent Inc.%! of Santa Clara, Calif., and the Holst Centre of Eindhoven,
the Netherlands, have joined forces in the field of flexible electronics, expanding
the scientific research and development facility’s current focus on integration
technologies. The collaboration will involve adding a picosecond laser source to
the electronic foils processing equipment for laser ablation in sheet-to-sheet production
of organic LEDs and organic photovoltaic devices. The Holst Center, which partners
with industry and academia, is an initiative of IMEC of Belgium and TNO of the Netherlands.
