Optics%! of Rochester, N.Y., has acquired $2 million in double-sided polishing and
metrology equipment, and another $2 million will be spent within the next few months.
Coupled with the company’s continuous quest for team development and process
improvement, this investment will allow it to continue its growth while handling
its customers’ increasing volume and size demands. Sydor’s products
are used in head-up displays and laser protection filters by the military, in DNA
sequencing, and in optics used in the production of movies.
