Leoni Acquires Richard Losch Inc.
To strengthen its position in the field of fiber optics, Leoni Fiber Optics GmbH has announced its acquisition of all the assets of Richard Losch Inc. of Bend, Ore.
Leoni will continue to operate out of Bend. Mr. Losch, founder and previously CEO of Richard Losch, has joined Leoni as technical director of high-power lasers.
Established in 1991, Richard Losch is a high-power laser applications solutions provider for the industrial, medical and biotechnology markets. Its 12 employees produce fiber solutions using unique connector designs and proprietary manufacturing techniques that yield extremely tight tolerances and precision.
“Following a smooth transition phase, customers who previously valued the products and services of Richard Losch can now look forward to an extended product range, additional R&D capabilities, as well as production capabilities in North America, Europe and Asia,” said Matthew J. Webb, managing director of Leoni Fiber Optics Inc. of Williamsburg, Va.
