Vision Exec Joins UKIVA Management Committee
Julian Parfitt, managing director of Framos Electronics Ltd., has joined the management committee at the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA).
UKIVA was established to promote the use of image processing technology by the manufacturing industry in the UK.
“The committee’s role is to steer the association along the path that will benefit manufacturers, vision component suppliers, system integrators and end users alike,” said UKIVA chairman Mark Williamson. “Vision is becoming a commodity item not only in the manufacturing sector, where it is an intrinsic part of automation, quality control and process efficiency, but also in a host of other industries.”
Parfitt has been in charge of Framos Electronics’ UK operation since 2003 and is responsible for the Framos GmbH Group’s international business development in the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining the company, he held senior management positions at Sony Semiconductors, Toshiba and Hitachi Electronics.
