Ollivier Invited to Join EMVA Board
Michel Ollivier has been invited to join the board of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) as its seventh member, the organization announced recently. The invitation will be voted on by the EMVA General Assembly at its next meeting in Vienna.
Ollivier is a member of the executive board at the France-based Tiama Group and is responsible for its research and development activities. The group includes MSC and SGCC, which specialize in hollow glass inspection, and LUCEO, a developer of vision products for the food industry.
Ollivier said he will focus on EMVA's future activities, such as regional groups and country chapters, and on managing relationships between integrators and component suppliers. "For me, the main objective of EMVA is to increase the competitiveness of its members. My personal objective will be to motivate more vision integrators to become members of the EMVA," he said.
Founded in 2003, the EMVA has approximately 120 members in 22 countries. Its aim is to promote the development and use of machine vision technology and to support its members at machine vision companies, research institutions and national machine vision associations.
