2Q Profits Up at OmniVision
Revenues were relatively stable and profits were up slightly for CMOS image sensor firm OmniVision Technologies Inc. in its second quarter of fiscal 2015.
Net income was $28.0 million, up 6.5 percent from $26.3 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2014. Revenues were $394.0 million, down 0.8 percent from $397.2 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2014.
“Our mobile phone and automotive products continue to be the drivers behind our strong results this quarter,” said CEO Shaw Hong. “We are pleased with our execution in China, and with the emergence of India as a key geography for us.”
The company expects revenues for the third quarter in the range of $275 million to $305 million
