Flir Acquires Video Surveillance Tech Firm DVTel for $92M
Sensors firm Flir Systems Inc. has acquired DVTel Inc., adding enterprise-class security cameras and video management software capabilities to its security product suite.
The deal is worth about $92 million in cash.
DVTel, based in Ridgefield Park, N.J., develops and distributes integrated video management system software, advanced video analytics software, visible and thermal security cameras, and related servers and encoders.
The acquisition enables Flir, with its thermal and visible-light cameras, as well as its Lorex brand security systems, to provide turnkey security systems to consumer, small and medium business, enterprise, and infrastructure-level markets.
